How long does the Green Card renewal process take?

A temporary pass is issued within 3-4 working days (excluding weekends) via the registered email. A new physical card will be posted within 60 working days.

Do I need to go to the CIDB office?

No. All renewal processes can be done online through RentakaBiz.

Does the new card have a gold chip?

Yes, the new card version is equipped with a gold chip similar to an ATM card.

What if my card has expired for more than 10 years?

For cards that have expired for more than 10 years, you will need to retake the SICW course before renewal.

Can foreign workers renew?

Yes, foreign workers can renew with an additional charge of RM100. Please refer to the Renew (Foreign Worker) page for more information.
